Thanks again the second answer about the seaman's ticket could be my James Drummond as I believe he was living in Sunderland at that time |

My james was born in Whitby 1819 to James and Mary another James was born also 1819 to a John and Mary. (they could even be cousins born to 2 brothers) My James moved and married in Sunderland then lost his wife in 1850 and he then disappears off the census. I was just wondering if he had returned to Whitby |

Another tree shows James born 1819 Whitby, married to Ann Elder but it shows his parents as James Drummond & Mary Husband. |

I'm thinking it's best to ignore the trees on Ancestry. Another says he's son of James & Mary and married Ann Boult Jackson but it gives 3 different dates of the marriage, 1842, 1851 and 1857!!! |

There is no house number on the 1851 census, just Church Street. The number 73 was not the house number it was the number of house holder's schedule that the enumerator used. |

It appears that the family living in church street is the family of James son John and not my family |
