Trees on Ancestry say that Horace's father William was married twice, first to Mary Allen in 1867 and had children John, Elizabeth and Charles. He then married Emily Allen in 1877 and had children Joseph, Mary, William, Thomas, Emily Grace, Horace George, Sarah Ann and Laura. |

If your parents were married in Bury in 1942 then you seem to be on the right track with this family. Your father was Horace's third son and his first name is slightly wrong on the marriage record - Alex rather than Alec. |
