His parents were John Gray and Jane Tweed He was baptised on 21/01/1801 in Winterton (Source Lincstothepast.)
But I have been unable to find him since his baptism.
Please can anyone help me find him. I have had a quick look on 1841on family search but I couldn't see him. Tthere seems to be 3 George Grays on the 1851 but I do not have access to Ancestry etc to have a look at the image.
Thanks for your help

Daughter, Elizabeth was born the 8th June 1829 so this could very well be the death of Susannah:-
Name Susanna Grey Gender Female Burial Date 27 Jun 1829 Burial Place Winterton, Lincoln, England Age 24 Birth Date 1805
........................
There is a Susannah Cross bornin 1805:-
Name Susannah Cross Gender Female Christening Date 08 Sep 1805 Christening Place ELSHAM,LINCOLN,ENGLAND Father's Name Edward Cross Mother's Name Sarah
...............so could be correct one.
In which case it is more than likely that George remarried so other children born would not have mother Susanna.

I think this is the George that married Azubah:-

Thank you so much DetEcTive and Catherine for all your help you have both been really great. Sorry it took me a while to get back to you both but I had to go out to help my friend.
I have had a quick look at all this information you have given me and it does look as if you have found George for me.
I agree with Catherine that this is not my George. that is the George that married Azubah
The strange thing is that there seems to be two George's in this family. This one born in 1800 and another one b1811. (George and Ann Hollingsworth) I hadn't noticed this before and I have only just proved he belongs to this family today. So you would have thought the first one had died. but I can't find a death for him. The whole family come from Winterton so he would have been buried there. This is why I asked if someone could find him on the census for me, if there was no sign of him then he must have died.
Then you have found this marriage for George and Susannah which could well be him.
Sorry for the confusion
Thank you so much for your help

Thanks Catherine for helping me. It does look as if the one you found could well be right. There is definitely no deaths for George between 1801 and 1811. There was one but he was a labourer so he can't be my George.
All the best

Just as a matter of interest, this may very well be George's mother's death:-
County Lincolnshire Place Winterton Church name All Saints Register type Register entry number 171 Burial date 31 May 1850 Person age 74 Burial person forename Jane Burial person surname GRAY Burial person abode Barton on Humber
...........would make her dob abt.1776 which would fit.
and his father:-
County Lincolnshire Place Winterton Church name All Saints Register type Register entry number 160 Burial date 13 Feb 1850 Person age 73 Burial person forename John Burial person surname GRAY Burial person abode Winterton
makes dob abt.1777
..............in which case they should be on 1841 census.

At last, this looks to be them in 1841:-
Name: John Gracy Age: 65 Estimated birth year: abt 1776 Gender: Male Where born: Lincolnshire, England Civil Parish: Winterton Hundred: Manley (Northern Division) County/Island: Lincolnshire Country: England Street address: Occupation: (looks like) Carpenter Registration district: Glanford Brigg Sub-registration district: Winterton Neighbors: View others on page Piece: 649 Book: 19 Folio: 5 Page Number: 2 Household Members: Name Age John Gracy 65 Jane Gracy 60 Robert Gracy 30 - Joiner
..................although baptism gives John's occupation as Weaver? He may of course have changed his occupation over the years, not unheard of.
County Lincolnshire Place Winterton Church name All Saints Register type Register entry number 767 Baptism date 13 Nov 1808 Birth date 07 Nov 1808 Person forename Robert Person sex M Father forename John Father surname GRAY Mother forename Jane
Wanted to find his parents as I thought George may have been with them, but not to be.

Thank you so much Catherine. I think for now I will investigate the George and Susannah line. Not sure what exactly to do next, but you never know something may turn up to prove its him one way or another. I did see a death for a George and Susannah on Lincstothepast so I will take another look at that, Thanks again

Freereg is a fantastic finding tool and IMO better than FS. It transcribes all the info from the image, not just the vital statistics.
I can't get on with Lincstothepast. It's awkward reading the small box. Perhaps I'm doing something wrong?
