You must have got back to him through one of your parents etc so we would need some more info to try and locate his family on any census

Mary Ann states she's been married 2 years and has 3 children born to this marriage. Someone is telling Porkies!

Mary Ann might be Edwards second wife, but has declared all the children who have Edward as their father. Is highly unlikely she was physically capable of giving birth to Lizzie when she was 12.

Without details from Edward c1900's MC to confirm, this is a speculative excercise.

Many thanks for everybody who took the time to reply and look up details. I have been looking for the mother of Elizabeth,Catherine and Edward for thirty years,one Annie Manning who married Edward Hitchcock in 1891.She was born anytime between 1867 and 1875,she gave a different age on various documents

.My only question was to find out if any of my "cousins" were out there!
