I am trying to find any documentation for my great grandmother prior to her marriage to John William Wood in 1887 where it states her birth year as about 1868 Her father Johann Jacob Schwenk was born in Germany in 1830 came to England I believe in 1851 and married Charlotte Morgan in 1852 I have found Baptism certificates for her elder siblings and younger siblings just cannot find anything for her Not sure where I can look next thank you for your help |

Maybe she got recorded as Emma? This has happened to one or two of my Emily's! The baptisms in 1878 were for a lot of the children at once, so no indication of age. |

Thank you all so much for the information, Looking at the baptism cert it would seem that Emma decided to call herself Emily. I did think it funny to have two daughters close together and call them Emily and Emma. |
