Looking for Florence Halliday daughter of Joseph Halliday and Mary nee Sanderson of Hexham and Corbridge Northumberland, Florence's last record was as a passenger at New York in 1912 with an occupation of governess she was born in Hexham, Northumberland in 1886. |

Thank you so much for the reply Joseph Halliday was my Grandmothers Uncle, so Florence Holliday who died in 1913 possibly was the one I am looking for her Mary nee Sanderson was born at Lowick near Berwick which is in England however Berwickshire is in Scotland. |

In 1884 Joseph Holliday changed the family name from Halliday to Holliday as when he registered the birth of his daughter Hannah Lizzie the registrar put Holliday on the certificate so some of the family were Halliday others were Holliday including Florence and her youngest sibbling Alexander wo was born in 1888. |

Malyon, George Halliday born 1880 emigrated to New South Wales Australia and died there in 1968, I am in contact with some of his grandchildren who are still residents of Sydney NSW. |

I still have a slight problem with the fact that the father of the Florence Holliday who died in 1913 in New York is given as GEORGE and not Joseph? |

As the cause of death is unknown anything can be asumed if she had a fever its possible her memory was effected although it would be asumed that it would have Joseph's name on her passport, her Mother Mary died in 1898 that may be the reason no details are available for her except birth place Scotland when in fact it was Lowick which is just on the Border. |
