Hi Ive hit a brick wall in my family search. Ive got back on this branch to 1769 and a marriage between Jonathan colestone and Joanna Greene in Shepton Mallet, they went on to have several children two of whom were named David and Esther. The problem is cant find any birth for Jonathan, the closest ive come is a James Colestone born in Shepton Mallet in 1752 whose parents were David and Esther. |

going far back they never put birth dates as births wernt registerd only christening dates from parish records |

Actually, malyon, some old PR do give quite a lot of information, especially the earlier ones. Have a look at the Durham Bishops Transcripts images on family search. This is an example from 1797: |
