Hi guys,

I am searching for my great great grandad, and my great grandad. I have very little information and they were both born in Italy so it is extremely hard to get hold of records. Does anyone know how I can get hold of Italian records. Or if anyone is searching for a Dominic Simeone (my great grandad) please get in contact with me.

My Great Grandads name was Dominico Simeone (However on his marriage certificate the surname is Simeoni - which is wrong!) He married Maria Rosaria Innelli - well that was her full name but married Rosa Innelli. I think he was from Caserta, Italy. And he moved over to Liverpool with his brother after his mother died because his dad re-married. I thought that Dominic was born in 1872 but i'm not sure if this is correct anymore.

On Dominic's marriage certificate his dads name is Francis - but as they are Italian i'm thinking it could have been Francesco? It's quiet hard to search because everyone spells their names differently. And for the Simeone side - that is all the info I have :(

Any idea what his brother was called?

No I don't. I'm not even sure if he did come over with his brother as it's just stories my great aunt has told me! Thanks for all the info above! I think I might have got his birth date wrong as some of the posts above seem more relevant!
