Could this be relevant to his wife? |

thanks, I have the info above already - oddly on the marriage certificate neither henry or jane have their parents names, anyone know why this would be? I can find no birth record for him. He did rather well for himself in Australia after being released and then went off on the gold rush to the USA. I think the info he gave the courts etc is incorrect. |

Sorry, just posting this for Henry. He sounds rather a nasty character according to his gaoler! |

Looking for William Jackson lived at 14 High Street, Cheltenham and Old Spa. Gloster . His son was Henry Jackson Mottram who was convicted and sent to Australia in 1833.Henry was married to a Jane Wright, and they married in Wales. At time of deportation it shows Jane and their baby are living with William Jackson at above address. No record of her going to Australia. Rumour has that Henry was the illegitimate son of a woman called Mottram who was of higher social standing but was raised by William. Henry was born circa 1809. Family have all records in Australia but are interested in William, Jane and the child and family in UK. There is some indication that Henry was born in St Albans, but this is not confirmed. Thanks |
