i am trying to find 1901 census for albert born 1879 in birmingham. i know that he was with his mom emma ainsworth 181 census but his mother died in december o that year. we then think that he was in coleshill as a pauper in 1891. we also think hewas aseaman in 1911 in wales. this wasfund this morning. thanks kath

stephen and ema his parents used to our knowledge at least three spellings.
on their wedding certificate, both death certificates and some of their childrens birth entrys were ensor.
albert was albert ainsworth 1879 on his birth certificate but have seen records for merchant sea man albert ensor 1879.
albert sibling include minnie , eliza mary ann walter, stephen all either ensor / ainsworth

the 1881 census is correct.. there appears to be two albert ensors in birmingham around that time. on one census going back to minnie there are two living in same house to a charles ensor. not sureif right though ages differ. i also found a eliza susor in a census as a servant. interesting about bert will have a look . thanks kath

it a mystery why the name changed but is right through certificates makes it hard though. ive
looked for bert i can not find it
