Hi

Please can anyone who's got an account with Scotlands people look up a Marriage search between 1913 and 1919 for a Richard METCALFE marrying a woman called Annie? I've searched the England and Wales Marriage index and I can't find a Marriage there, but I think with him being a Carter "taxi driver" they might have got Married up there?

Drat........ just spent ages looking for a marriage and thought I'd found one in 1915 to a lady named Rosanna (possibly Annie) - only to find that the poster already has this information.

I didn't refresh the page so didn't see greyghost's post with the link to the other thread.

Just to say Scotlands People isn't a subs site . You have to puchase units to look at any results and then use more units to look at actual info

Bmds after about 1911 though can't be looked at online you have to purchase the cert through the site

Well from 1912 to 1918--is a 5 year gap so could have moved several times across country with work.If you know either of the fathers names it maybe worth applying for the 1912 certificate ,either to confirm or discount,,,,,

There is no registered marriage in Scotland for Richard Metcalfe --1910 to 1920,,,,,,,,so 1912 looks about your best bet.....
