There is a report in the Bradford Observer on 4th October 1849 of a compensation case between the Lancashire and Yorkshire Railway Company and Mr. Elisha Haley where it states that Mr. Elisha Haley has been at the Neptune Inn for 12 years (so from c. 1837). |

Have just noticed in another article from 1836 that the innkeeper was a William Deighton, presumably the father of Elisha's first wife Ann. |

The article from 27/2/1840 is just a two line death notice for Ann, aged 23 who died "Wednesday last" |
