Thank you Jacqueline for the Butler additions. I had told myself I wouldn't do anything more on this Holdsworth tree until the potential owner got back in touch because there is not a lot of point in doing the work for somebody who has lost interest but then the addiction comes into play and I'll just have to have another peek ....... |

If you do a search for Mary Ann, District Bradford, for Dec 1884, there is a Mary Ann Butler, page no 83 - looking at the image for that it could very well be 88. Doing the same search, but putting in 83 for the page number, brings up this - one extra woman: |

Not necessarily any previous married name though ,depends how questions were asked . |

Usually the mothers name and maiden name and the father's name and occupation, also the address. |

The cert should give the father's and Mother's name, the mother's maiden name and any other names she has had, ie if she has been married before her previous married name. |
