Looks like Walter didn't go with them - or if he did, he came back again: |

Many thanks AG, yes this is the family in 1881 . I know that John Moore b Scotland, recorded as being in America when his daughter Mary Ann Moore was admitted to a deaf and dumb school in Boston Spa in 1885 , but really am unsure if he went with his family or on his own |

Mary Jane was his 1st wife who he married in Wales,She died in 1878 in St Helens. John b 1880 was he son to 2nd wife Mary. Re the post of John Moore in the 1940 census Pennsylvania , that could be him. I see Jacqueline posted too early for online records so that means I will be unable to find the family. I wonder if John and Mary only took their son John and children from 1st marriage left behind in England |

Just don't know about Bernard Joseph I am unable to find him, in fact have been unable to find his siblings except so far sister Mary Ann b1872 Holywell who was in St John's deaf and dumb school Clifford Boston Spa. I have rung the school and yesterday had a reply, she was admitted in 1885 from Prescott. Father. John Moore stated in America occ Joiner, Mother Jane Moore dead ( her name was Mary Jane so the info all tied up with father John in the 1871 and 1881 census. And her mother dying in 1878 Prescott. It is the proof of the Mary Ann I want and that this is her family. Have latched on to several Moores but this one I feel sure is the right one. |

Looking up Walter Moore, the 1901 Walter Moore is not the same one as the 1911 Walter Moore. Looking up the marriages the dates and maiden names of the Elizabeth's are different. 1901 Walter born in Salford, 1911 Walter born in St Helens which is where Walter son of John and Mary Jane was born, he had only been married to Elizabeth for 9 months and states no children.I believe Bootle where they lived is near Liverpool, so if Walter did return from America that is where he would have arrived and it states his occ a Dock Worker, Liverpool being a port that's where he found employment. |
