	I am trying to find a birth and marriage certificate for Augusta May Last,as far as Iknow she was born c.1877 in Bradfield st. george suffolk. On her death certificate it says she was the wife of Jeff Wells from Wickhambrook suffolk. Thank you any help would be appreciated From Andrea Miller

	Try the freebmd site www.freebmd.org.uk/ to find the registrations. You will have to purchase the certificates (the site gives details) or, if you are lucky you may find parish records for a baptism and marriage.

	Not finding a marriage. What other info do you have? Have you found her on any census? I can find her and Jeff and children in 1911. Do you have that? Her sister Nellie is living with them and she is on the 1901 census with her parents, Arthur & Emily.

	Bit more detail of Frederick & Esther's marriage: Name:Esther Stubbings Gender:Female Age:19 Birth Date:1859 Marriage Date:9 Oct 1878 Marriage Place:Saffron-Walden, Essex, England Father: William Stubbings Spouse:Frederick Harry Last 1891 census shows a daughter Mary of the same age as Augusta but I can't find her after that. A tree on Ancestry has Jeff Wells army record - he was in South Africa from 1899 to 1902.

	Surely she's recorded in 1891 as 'Mary'.............? there is no birth on freebmd for a MARY

	Yes I was just thinking that too Jacqueline My internet keeps going down so I miss posts and am iPad so it doesn't reload .one has to go out of the thread and come back in again It certainly seems they weren't married !!
