The parents for the children I have mentioned above, are Robert Nickison and Frances Grant who married on 26 May 1808, at Saleby.

On the Parish records for St Mary Magdaline, Lincoln, on Lincstothepast site, Robert Nickeson married Frances Parr in the presence of William Witters and Sarah Witters. This is the only wedding on 30 September, 1807. Robert is shown as being from Little Cawthorpe.

Thank you everyone for all of your help. On the info I have, sisters married in a double wedding, and this obviously causes confusion! As always, generations have used the same names in 'honour' of family tradition etc but oh boy, it can cause headaches. Thanks to al of you I now have so much more to work with, and I a grateful for all your hard work <3

I just put up all the births I could find for Eunice. It was up to her to sort them out.

I did wonder if I had two families. As the marriage for Robert and Frances Parr was in 1807 and she had some of the childrens names mentioned in the Christenings I just put down all I could find.

Please be careful when you are researching the Nicholson family in Legbourne and Cawthorpe. There two families with parents Robert and Frances Nicholson in the villages.
Of the children listed by Mel above Charles, b. 1808, Sarah, b1810, Jane, b1812, Susannah, b. 1809, Elizabeth b. 1814, Isaac b 1821, and Eliza b. b.1823, are the children of Robert Nicholson and Frances Grant. The other children are related to the other Robert and Frances Nicholson.

Isaac Nicholson is my great great great grandfather. I have researched this side of the family, but not the other Robert and Frances.

married to Frances, had children William, Amos, John and Jane and lived in Little Cawthorpe LIncolnshire. By 1838 Frances was widowed and remarried Aug 1838, to John Willey. We have details of the children etc and who married whom, but cannot find anything about what happened to Robert Nickolson/Nicholson, relating to when he died etc. I can find one who might fit, but who was in Durham,but the family don't seem to travel much out of the village so ….. that said, I do not know Frances's maiden name either so are we just presuming everyone came from the same village? Any ideas out there? :-S
