Hi Sheila and welcome to the message boards.
Here is his record.
What further information are you trying to find?
He went with a large party of other children, so probably a group of 'orphans'.

Sailing on the Dominion he was probably a barnados or other agencies child
That ship took lots of home children to Canada via the USA
They werent always orphans , my aunt was a home child in 1909 ,her mum died in 1906 and grandad was forced to put her and her brothers in a McPherson home in the east end of London
Like barnados the parent putting em in signed away parental rights as one of the clause of them being accepted in
Grandfather married our nan, also a widow in aug 1909 but sadly auntie had been sent to Canada on the 9th August . They did though manage to get back the 3 boys from the home ,
Auntie went on the Tunisian which seemed to be another vessel they used

I think this is your guy - his n.o.k. is his "guardian". His d.o.b. makes him 21 3 days before enlistment - I believe his age was 16y 1m. The M.O. probably didn't believe his stated age - he list him as apparent a=19, but this was old enough to enlist with permission of his guardian. Rarely, actual proof of permission was demanded - I think often a verbal assurance that the enlistee had permission sufficed.
I don't know if this is his guardian: Name: William Lovering Gender: Male Marital Status: Married Age: 69 Birth Year: abt 1852 Birth Place: Ontario Relation to Head of House: Head Spouse's Name: Rachel Lovering Father Birth Place: England Mother Birth Place: Ontario Racial or Tribal Origin: English Province or Territory: Ontario District: Simcoe East District Number: 126 Sub-District: Penetanguishene Sub-District Number: 41 City, Town or Village: Coldwater Village Street or Township: River St Municipality: Coldwater Occupation: Farmer R Neighbors: View others on page Household Members: Name Age William Lovering 69 Rachel Lovering 65 Johanna K Lovering 29
LAC say: The digitization of the Canadian Expeditionary Force (CEF) service files is underway and a substantial number of digitized files have been added to our website as part of the Government of Canada First World War commemoration activities. We will add new files every two weeks, as the CEF digitization initiative is a priority for us. LAC will ensure that Canadians have access to the files throughout the digitization process, scheduled to be completed by the end of 2018.
I would guess your guy would appear by the end of 2016, so you might want to search again then via http://www.bac-lac.gc.ca/eng/discover/military-heritage/first-world-war/first-world-war-1914-1918-cef/Pages/search.aspx
The service file appears as a link in the top right - to see what I mean, try a search for George Atherton instead of George Luton
I don't see him listed in WW1 deaths at CWGC, so he might have stayed in England after WW1 - you can probably tell once you see his service file.

If he was a Barnados kiddy then they will have his records
You can request them they take a while and they now charge but they do seem to have kept all records
We enquired about my FIL who was born in 1901 and thought the home he was put in was Barnados .they did,a search and said no .I did eventually find the home he was in .
Barnardos though were very helpful
