I would hazard a guess that Jane's maiden name was WILKIE

Would he have been married as young as that?

Surely Robert's stepchildren are his wife's from a previous marriage?

Any children of Robert's would carry HIS name

I wonder if someone could look at the 1881 census for Robert Andersonb.1863
I have the 1901 scottish census for him and wife Jane living at 51, Robert Street, govan.
They have 5 stepchildren with them with surname Moffatt and 2 children with surname Anderson.
Before I start using my credits on Scotlandspeople for another marriage for Robert I thought the 1881 might show another wife's name.
