Im trying to find William Wells in the census 1841,1851, 1861 and 1871. I can't find him anywhere. he was born about 1790 in Wickhambrook Suffolk and died in 1877. He was married to Rebecca, but she died in 1841, so whether his name is spelt wrong I don't know. I just can't find him. So if anyone can help I would be most grateful. Thank you. |

On another tree it says he died in 1877 in Suffolk aged 83 |

I saw the tree on Ancestry- but it is not referenced so may not be correct. They also have Rebecca's date of death as 1841- this is incorrect. The reference they have used is for a Rebecca Ashman, but she would have been 'Wells' when she died. |

But maybe that's why I can't find him, maybe they have got the wrong William wells. |

It's possible Rebecca remarried- I haven't checked any further records yet, but this maybe worth looking into: |

Jackie- I think she did remarry- I can't see an original entry for the Rebecca Wells marriage (maybe someone else can see it?), but this is another transcription which says she is a widow, and gives the marriage place as Wickhambrook, so it's likely she is the widow of William: |

The death for Rebecca in 1848 also looks to be correct as this is Daniel, widowed in 1851: |
