So, Anne, if you're acknowledging now that Eliza did marry Robert Wickham then she can't be the one on the first 1871 census that was posted which you acknowledged was her. She already had children then and she seems to be the one who was widowed and living with her mother-in-law in 1871. She had children Jane, 12, Emily, 8 and William, 2. |

Apparently Eliza did marry Robert Wickham, when I don't know. Whether or not they had children again I don't know. |

That 71 census is the first one that Brummiejan posted. But if that's your family we can forget about the one that married Robert Wickham. |

I have found a record on 1871 Census for Eliza and Henry Sims living at Mount Pleasant, Walcot, St Swithins, Bath with the Hathway family. Does this help? |

But, surely, Gritty, those Wickham boys on the 91 census should be her sons not stepsons? She married Robert Wickham in 1879. |

So if this is William John & Annie Maria could it be that the boarder Lewis Wickhham is actually William John's half brother going according to the marriage of Robert Wickham & Elizabeth Sims and the 91 census where John W. Sims is 12 and Lewis Wickham 0? |

William Arthur Sims grandparents were William John Sims and Annie Maria Butcher both born, I believe in the 1880s. |

My second cousin, William Arthur Sims, told me Elizabeth Walters was married to his great grandfather, Henry John Sims. The information was obtained from William's grandfather's birth certificate. |
