HELP!! Please can somebody tell me how I can find a birth for Joseph Michael Lawrence, who was born in Gibraltar. I am struggling to find him. His father was called Michal Lawrence.
Any help would be gratefully appreciated.

I am related to Sidney GJR Bentley/Baxter. He was born a Bentley, but somehow the surname Baxter was added later. Not sure why, unless he was adopted. His birth father's name was William Francis Bentley and his mother's name was Margaret (Maggie) Mabel Lawrence.

Thank you all for your help. Do any of you know how I can find out what happened to Iris Bentley/Baxter? Sidney got married again in Feb. 1948, but on his marriage certificate it states his status as bachelor? Also, Sidney was a twin, and I can't find any record of this.

I am really grateful for all your help so far, when it comes to things like this I really am as "thick as the proverbial brick" !!
