Thomas Gorst was born in 1817 in Leftwich near Northwich Cheshire and I know lots about him. I even have his Christening cup but no where can I find his parents. Is there someone out there who can help me please? Can I get a birth certificate for that long ago and without parental information? Thanks brilliant finding friends.

	i found these on the family search site its free put surname in and the parents names and place of birth https://familysearch.org

It's incredibly confusing because they've all called their children by the same name. Old John Gorst died when he was 47 just a few months before the little Jane you found when he'd already had a Jane who died too.. She only lived a few months too. Thanks to the kind help of folk like you I now have a crazy family jigsaw where just over a week ago I had nothing. :-)
