	what do you think is the connection to the Thompson family of Scarborough? It's not obvious to me. Do you think his mother was a Thompson? Or do you think he married a Thompson?

	According to the 1911 Census, Mary Elizabeth's parents, Thomas and Elizabeth, had been married for 47 years, they had had 12 children and 2 had died by 1911. Are these the Thompsons' that you want to link Alfred to?

	I found them on all the censuses on ancestry, plus baptisms, etc but do not want to post information needlessly. You don't say what information you already have!
