I had 6 windows open because I was trying to prove that the father of William was Thomas and not William.

I researched the Sarah Anderson who was residing in Park Street, St Albans on the 1841 census and all of her children.

I ended up bewitched, bothered and bewildered!

I spent a couple of hours this morning researching William Anderson born abt 1842 St Albans, Hertfordshire.........Father of Florence Hoppett Anderson.

With the information I found, I came to the conclusion that perhaps William was the son of Thomas and Sarah. I have popped back on here tonight, and see that according to the marriage record, his father was William?

Taking into consideration.......(I might very well be barking up the wrong tree) that Williams father may have died when he was very young, he might not have known or remembered who his father was, I am going to post the info I found anyway.

Even if it proves to be wrong..........I have six windows open and don't really want to close them down.....just in case the information I found is relevant.

William and Sarah are in the registration district of St Albans on the 1871 census, which is where their son William's birth was registered. I am not entirely convinced that the marriage that took place 1866 in Ware is for your William Anderson.

(I am not seeing a William in any census records with a father William)
