There is no record of a Percy Gerald Harding anywhere on the records to which I have access

The other possibility is that Henry was born somewhere other than England or Wales

What was his address on the marriage- and who were the witnesses?

Henry Gerald Percy Harding was born 7th February 1906. I believe in London.

I have his marriage cert. it was 17th August 1938 in Marylebone. His father was named as Percy Gerald Harding a retired commercial traveller - retired.

I also have his death certificate from 1983.

He must of had an unhappy childhood as he wouldn't talk about it. Any information was from my mum. She said his father was in the merchant navy. His mother died when he was approx 7 and he was passed round relatives to be looked after.

I have been successful with mum's family and my husbands, but I can't even find a birth certificate. For my father or his father.

This was my father. I was told his mother died when he was approx 7 . I believe he was a Londoner but I can find nothing about him except the marriage and birth certificates. He was Henry Gerald Percy Harding born February 1906.
