Find Ancestors

I am trying to find information on Henry Whitehead Milne born 1848 in Crompton, Lancashire. His parents were James and Ann Milne.

Henry was married twice (Matty Halkyard and Hannah Wilson). From what I have found Henry lived in Lymm, Cheshire in 1881 (Census) and had a relationship with my 2nd great grandmother, Jane Leigh. She never married and had 3 children, which I think Henry may have been the father.

Henry seems to be mysterious and elusive. I cannot find much information. I will appreciate any information on Henry Whitehead Milne.

But he is at home on the 1871 census but it does give him as married status

Not seeing Jane Leigh after the 1881 census

What were the names of her other children ?

Thank you for the above information. I have the above information. I cannot find out what happened to Henry Milne after 1881. There seems to be no trail of Henry. I cannot find information regarding his death (when and/or where).

I am not sure where else to look. If anyone has suggestions it will be greatly appreciated.

It may be he emigrated shipping records don't start till 1890

There doesn't seem to be a death for him as Henry Whitehead Milne

Yes I thought Henry may have emigrated. Pity he may have emigrated before any records were taken. I even considered he may have changed his name. I might need to look around the world for Henry Whitehead Milne.

Yes Henry is an interesting character. I think that is why I am having problems finding information on him. Married twice but not sure if he divorced either lady.
