have just looked at the other thread and with the info found on the other thread it is the same family as what i am doing

i may know now why i cant find any info on sarahs son joseph looks like he took the name goode instead of leatherland

this part of the family is off too the side some what [if you know what i mean ]

but so love doing my family tree that i have been doing all that is connected to to my family

Jacqueline, it might be worth while buying a copy of the death cert to see what it says - the informant's name might provide a clue, perhaps? Could be her child, if she had any.

Even though we can't find a probable marriage for her, she might still have had a child/children.

EDIT: No - ignore this post - there are no likely marriages showing for her anywhere in England/Wales 1940-69.






She may have married, had children, and then divorced and reverted to her maiden name, but without knowing where she might have been living, it's impossible to tell.

There are no likely marriages showing in either Nottinghamshire or Staffordshire, but she could have married anywhere.

I'm not sure what is shown on present-day death certs in England. Would it mention an ex-husband?
