Fanny Henley was born in the Sept Q 1876, Birmingham, Warwickshire. Her parents are Henry Henley b 1830 and Sarah Ann b ca 1834 However in 1895, she married William Bates in Birmingham. I cannot find her on the 1881 census, and them on the 1901 census. Can anyone help please Thank you very much Jo

Same family. I wonder if poor Fanny has been misnamed Henry?

Alviegal Re 1881 census, and naming Fanny - Henry - I don't think so. But ..... The age is right, but they did put down Henry Hendley as a SON ! Perhaps there were twins - Henry and Fanny, but Fanny is on the 1891 Census and Henry is not! I have a problem Many thanks for your help Jo

Must look for 1901 Census in Warrington, Lancashire for William and Fanny Bates plus children.

Have been looking - they are not (obviously) there! And the problem is they could have been anywhere between Birmingham and Warrington.
