	The Tasmanian Names Index has a birth record dated 14th June 1898 for Arthur Stanley Debnam son of Charles and Ada Eliza formerly Ward. Married 25th March 1896. Charles's occupation miner.

Victoria 1889-1901 Name: Ada Eliza WARD Spouse: Chas Jas DEBRAM Birth Place: BALLT [Ballarat] Year / Reg No.: 1896 / 1815R Also registered with her as WARA and him as DEBNAM (same reg no)! A son Chas Samson Ward DEBNAM was born in 1896 in Eaglehawk Vic (reg 27413). He served in WWI: https://www.aif.adfa.edu.au/showPerson?pid=76603 and died in 1976 aged 80 (Heidelberg, reg 30508).

Member Since: May 2004 Posts: 4,065 Send Message	Oh how sad, Ada was not the only loss suffered by Charles http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article10715651 Imagine a 4 year old being asked to give evidence as a witness :-( http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article50349941 Charles' brother 'Alf' (Thomas Alfred) lived in WA http://nla.gov.au/nla.news-article33289340 He also suffered tragedy - his wife and daughter died in 1905; he remarried in 1915 (to Catherine Agnes SMITH) and then he died on New Years' Day 1916 in a mining accident: DEBNAM ALICE HELENA GERTRUDE [aged] 31 FATHER: JAMES COOPER MOTHER: ANNE LOWE BIRTHPLACE: DUNALLEY TASMANIA REG: 851 YEAR: 1905 DEBNAM ALICE VERA [aged] 1 FATHER: THOMAS ALFRED MOTHER: ALICE HELENA GERTRUDE BUTTON BIRTHPLACE: ZEEHAN TASMANIA REG: 841 YEAR: 1905 They also had a son Alfred Richard DEBNAM, who served in WWI and had a leg amputated. His enlistment has his next of kin as grandmother Mary DEBNAM of WA!
