Hi Kathy and welcome to the boards. You've noticed that Susan posted some time ago. She probably won't be checking for replies now and may not even be a member any longer.

Try clicking on her name and you will then hover the option of sending her a personal message. If she still has the same email address as she registered with GR they will notify her that she has a message.

Don't be surprised if you don't get a reply, but you can check if your message is opened by looking in your sent messages box to see if the envelope has been opened. She may however, for a variety of reasons not open a message or reply.

this is a long time after your post so not sure if you will get it. I am also researching the Rostron families and have been intrigued by Mary Bullon. I've just discovered that Thurston Rostron was in the army for twenty-odd years and had children born in various locations. One of them, Mary, born in Quebec in 1802, married a Henry Bullen, widower, in Blackburn in 1843 The surnames are very similar but in addition Henry was in the same regiment as Thurston. So could be more than coincidence.

Susan,

There is a collection of Spanish baptisms on www.familysearch.org

Nothing showing for your lady at present but it may be worth your while checking back for updates. There were some Bullons on there and they did not appear to have been born of British parents. Couldn't find her on army births on FMP either. Sorry

Is it possible that it is Vitoria Spain and not Victoria as in 1813 British Portugese and Spanish armys were fighting Bonaparte there as she is said to be a British Subject her father could have been in the army.

Is it confirmation that Miriam/Mary are the same people that you are after... or were you hoping to find a Baptism record?.........I think its probably unlikely that you will be able to find a Spanish birth record for c1814
