I am trying to find more about Henrietta Teresa Hurley, 1st wife of my gt gt grandfather Richard Oswin. They were married at St Clement Danes, London on 23 Dec 1844, and although both claimed to be of full age he was 20 and she was only 17. IGI has her born 1828 in St Clement Danes parish. Marriage certificate says her father was Charles Hurley, attorney and that she was living at 17 Arundel St, London. Witnesses were N.G.Hurley and E.L.Hurley. She appears to have gone to India in 1856, but I've no idea when she came back. She died 14 June 1891 in the Middlesex Hospital, death notified by sister E Hurley of the same address. I'd be grateful for anything about this family, and especially when Henrietta came back to England. Thanks. |
