I have seen it Renes.
I will tell my daughter but I wonder about some of these supposed warnings. I got onto it through the Next website. I would have thought they would know if it was genuine or not.

Nicky posted that there was a warning rumour circulated that this was a paedophile ring.

Thanks .... what you have is what I remember, and I didn't know whether it had changed. Obviously it has!


we had a 1940s gas cooker at home ........ grill under the burners, plate warmer rack that stored behind the high back of the stove and could be pulled up and over so the plates warmed over the rings.

There was a drawer below the oven ..... but it wasn't a warmer drawer like most stoves had then, it was just a storage drawer


... which is exactly what we have under our ovens over here!


I have the cookbook that came with that cooker ............. it's one of my old standards. If I can't find a recipe anywhere, I'm pretty certain to find it in the Cannon Gas Cookbook, 11th edition 1949 (1st printing, 1932)!


we moved into that hosue in March 1951 .... so the cooker must have been a very new acquisition by the previous owners. I know Mum and Dad did not buy it!

I still don't know where the post is, but can't anyone post that NEXT link in the thread?

That page says:

and the link for "Enter now" is to a facebook page.

Duuuuuuuh.

Some people will just tell any tale they hear.

It was one of the two word threads started july 2009 on surnames board
Had two replys asking for more info and AofGG mentioning crystal balls
The reply today said words to the effect of Its quite obvious what I am looking for anything from Adam and Eve to the present ect ect cannot remember exactly
