But what do you do if you post your message just before you go to bed at midnightish - and then find out that it was somehow re-posted again at 3am. I am so perplexed about this!! Have I started to do research in my sleep!! LOL.

Also, what happens if you can't hang about for a few minutes or, again like me was using the laptop and a mobile internet connection and lost all signal, not a lot you can do about it!!

Still am always grateful for all help received

I'm confused Anita why would your message re post its self at 3 a.m? If you cannot hang around then its not the end of the world but sometimes we may need to ask questions before we continue
I just found your post that you duplicated by pressing submit twice.
If you cannot stay around to look for replies only post them when you can. If its a problem with your connection that cant be helped really

Siiiiigh. You see, I was fixing to send A-M a PM asking whether it was just me being stupid but were you relatively new and should we properly introduce ourselves, but I decided against possibly making myself look dim and careless, were that the case, but I see you've all done that for me anyhow.

And I believe I was the standard against which lairy chuffiness was to be measured.

I know quite well what a Geordie is, Ms. A-M, or at least what it might be some particular variety of.

I'm not at all sure that I want a stottie cake. Does it involve oats? That's okay then, I quite like oats. As long as it's not some ethnic variant of a cow patty or such.

Anita, there's a very simple answer to your question.

Don't post at midnight, or any other time when you can't stick around for a half hour to acknowledge/answer replies.

There's no actual urgency about posting at this site ... especially if one isn't even planning to stick around and see replies ...

As for these mobile internet things (and all the complaints I see from the Englanders about losing connections, something I just don't quite understand myself): why not wait until one is using a reliable internet connection? Again, no urgency, eh?

Poor Sylvia, you can't even eat my low-fat pastry, having skimmed milk in it instead of lard as it does. ;)

Well, next time I leave quiche leftovers out, you have licence to eat the insides and leave the rust! .......... Er, crust.

If I remember rightly, I was out with my mother whilst she chose material for curtains when I heard about that tragedy. Funny how you can remember where you are at certain historic times. A dreadful, dreadful time for all concerned.

Can any of you take a look at the following link please. Tracy is a newbie whom I contacted a couple of days ago after she replied to an old posting. I advised her to post what she was looking for as there are some very clever people around the boards. Creep that I am......:)

Just popped in while on lunch break. got nothing to eat so thought I'd see if anything left from the buffet breakfast.

What do I find - nowt, not a crumb (Cynthia probably cleaned them up). Gannets!

Ah well, off to the sandwich shop!
