As I said Ja...x - It don't matter if you can't spell it, as long as you can cook it !!

Spelling is not the most important thing in the world. - communication is !!

I have tried correcting my daughter who is almost 14 on facebook...now her friends do it for her. She can write a short statement of half a dozen words and four will be wrong

I have a mild form of Dyslexia which was only picked up at Uni although my English teacher at school always asked to see my work before a final submission...

I guess he suspected something but of course in the 70's Dyslexia was not well known

I can read just fine, but I miss link words when writing and I cant look at coloured text as it jumps about

Strange that because a big part of my job is correcting peoples spelling and grammer!

As I said Ginns + Ja...x,

Communication is the MOST important part !!!

It doesn't matter if the spelling is 'a little off' - As long as you can communicate !!!

There is a thread about capital letter postings - which evolved into spelling

It is amazing how many people suffer from dyslexia -

I would never have guessed you have/had even a very mild form Gins - you write very well

And words like roux are French cooking terms

Not really every day English language

I always remember Denise - in the Royale Family Xmas special

Wanting Dave to buy her a par boiler for her roast pots - just like Nigella

Dea

Par boiler as in 'pan' Renes???

Ja..x at Uni they wanted me to register as a disabled student, this would then be taken into account for my degree result....

....I told em to shove it

Other signs of Dyslexia are constantly checking things, such as; have you locked the door, switched the light off etc

I do need white space to read though which is not a problem at work as the students have to use double line spacing

Renes

Renes Report 17 Oct 2010 20:16

No Dea

Nigella has said par boil the potato s before roasting

Denise thought it was a machine

Writing about French cooking terms reminded me

I can normally see if a word is spelt wrong, but not able to spell it. I am sure my daughter spells things how she would say it.
