Gins

I thought so too - would like my two done -- pm when you get details please

At least you are getting your proteins ---what iron

I have a veggie friend who has 2 children - she worries about the children when they were younger - so I cooked chickens and loads little mini beefburgers - with my own mince beef - sliced up the chicken and froze all down in little parcels - so she could made chicken sarnis - chicken salad - and micro the mini burgers and pop them into buns with salad
made up savory mince to go over their pasta etc - quite like cooking for kiddies again

Hey FBG, several thousand posts ago -- Samuel Lewis the Cubelor Man. This is him in 1891?

Samuel Lewis 56 - born Conwil, Carmarthen - cowkeeper (milk)
Mary Lewis 64
William Lewis 29 - coalminer
Nicholas Davies 26 - coalminer
Mary Davies 25
Mary Ann Davies 4
Samuel Davies 2
Civil parish: Aberdare

William and Mary could match kids in the 1871 household you had.

-- oh, edit -- and wife Mary is a bunch older than Samuel, just like in 1871 (45 vs 34).

And better yet, they're at the same address 1871 and 1891: 28 Gadlys Street (or some variant thereof).

Do you suppose in 1871 someone who had never heard of Conwil heard "Co'n'l" or some such?

-- more edit -- 1881

Aberdare, 28 Gadlys Street
Samuel Lewis 50 born Kenwil (looks like Kynwil), Carmarthenshire, occupation Pig Dealer
Mary Lewis 54
John Lewis 22
William Lewis 19
Mary Lewis 15

And ahem.

Success Stories.

Being a veggie does not mean you are under nourished

I eat more veg than the rest of you put together. I eat protein; I eat nuts, fruit, eggs seeds, milk and cheese

I have a better diet than a lot of meat eaters

...and remember that back in the day.....'man' hardly had any meat, they lived on grass and such..It’s what the appendix was for

You couldn’t catch yourself a deer every week of the year

Nice one Janey. So glad I sent her a message on how to find her replies :P lol

Fans will be pleased about that census, but she seems to have gone gallivanting - unless she has come over all peculiar again!

That one on Success was a tag team effort for sure -- I figured out who to look for, and Eileen found 'em!

Oh, and Cynthia found the whole lof ot it for the poster, yes! And the poster did mention that on the thread. An all-round example of excellent posting conduct. (She's deleted the thread now, in case you're looking, which was a good idea.)

Trying to find those Lewis-s in 1881 now ... edit - found 'em, added to post above.

Cynthia Report 15 Oct 2010 20:42

I haven't got an appendix any more. It was removed a long, long time ago. Does that mean I can't eat grass??

Cheer up Gins, you'll soon be post wotsit.

Cynthia Report 15 Oct 2010 20:45

What does one do when one can find whom one is looking for on all relevant census forms but one cannot find the flamin' person's birth? Having sent for the two most likely certs which were wrong, where does one turn next? One is getting exceedingly narked.

JaneyCanuck Report 15 Oct 2010 20:48

One should give the ****ing details, Cynthia.

Got the parents' marriage? Sure the kid wasn't born before the marriage / to somebody else??
