We can't find the birth certificate record for my great grandfather. He didn't see any of his family or talk about them so it's a mystery. We do know from his military records that his date of birth was 29 July 1885 and that he was born in Clerkenwell. We believe his father was called Harry or Henry from his marriage certificate. Can anyone help? What would Clerkenwell have come under? |
