My husbands grandad George Warriner who was adopted by the Horner Family from Nafferton East Yorkshire. I think George came from the workhouse as a baby. I don't know which one. George was born 1885 his mum was unwed at the time. That is all I know. I would just like some background & hopefully there maybe some of his adopted family still in Nafferton. Can anyone help please. |

Hello everyone, no I don't know if there is a birth certificate anywhere in our family, I have hie marriage certificate to Eleanor Hayward in 1915 when they were both 29 years old, on the cert his surname is down as George Warriner Horner, Eleanor wanted it put on this way as she was worried in case the marriage wasn't legal |

I am trying to find Grorge Warriner born about 1886 in the birth records he was born in Nafferton, but the nearest I get is Ripon, can anyone help please, I want to buy his birth certificate. |

I agree Warriner/Warrener is the right one.I have several certs that are not the correct names mainly due to the old writing being mistranscribed. |

Hi Angela I'm also looking for my dads adopted siblings I know surname was Warriner at birth my grandmother was then called Annie w Warriner my dad remembers them being adopted by a doctor any connection ? They were born in Yorkshire please could you let me know t |
